Happy New Year to everyone!
December was a busy month, and January, though sleepy in its own way, begins to unfurl into its own brand of sluggish chaos. I am currently working on my novel Iron State (previously named The Arborist– the change of name has helped with the refreshed plot, I think), and am making headway through Act 1.
January 2024 also sees the release of the Fantasy & Sci-Fi Writers Alliance’s anthology, Versus, featuring 13 stories from the fantasy and science fiction community in which humanity is pitted against all odds, from supernatural beings to artificial intelligence. My own short story, The Intimacy Protocol, is included in this collection, which is a great honour in itself. Versus is available from a range of reputable booksellers, as both an e-book and paperback.
As we press into the year, here’s hoping for more writing time and many more exciting opportunities.
